Bench birch

Yes, the colour of a birch bench can change over time due to use and exposure to light and air. The so-called patination is a natural process of natural materials. Similarly to other wood materials, birch can take on a slightly darker or golden colour over time, depending on its individual characteristics, use and placement. When choosing a solid wood bench with an open surface treatment, it is easy to restore the surface to near-new condition by sanding the wood and then treating it with oil, pigmented oil or soap.

To prolong the life of your birch bench seat, it is recommended to wipe it regularly with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. Use dedicated furniture care products if necessary.

Avoid leaving liquids on the wooden surface and place the bench away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Inspect and repair any damage regularly to maintain the condition of the bench. If you want to restore the bench to near-new condition, after a few years of use, this can be easily done by sanding the chairs and then refinishing with oil or soap.
