“Our shelving system from 2012 has gained more generous dimensions with space even for art books. If used for shorter books, such as paperbacks, there is space for a drawer or an extra shelf for horizontal magazines, etc. The Kubik shelving system comes in different versions, now also vertical, all of which can be combined. Shelves are often made in simpler materials – veneers, laminates – possibly because they are hidden by their contents. In comparison, there is a regal dignity to the Kubik shelves; virtually knot-free solid oak all the way through! They will age beautifully and can always be renovated back to their original condition. The look will be determined by the surface treatment you choose. Add thin extra shelves, fine joinery drawers with dovetail corners and doors with a smooth or organically curved surface. Hang it on the wall or place it on a plinth. There is no back so that the wall of the room shows through as the background.”
